Caught between two lines of fire, the Germans gave them two options: surrender or die. They chose a third - The Lost Battalion is a true stroy about American soliders, led by a civlian-turned-soldier, Major Charles Whittlsey (Rick Schroeder). it was a company of brave young men made up mostly of tough, young, Irish, Italian, Jewish and Polish immigrants from New York City. They became trapped behind enemy lines towards the end of World War 1 but fought against the odds, and many of the survivors were honored as heroes upon their return.
