The staging is minimalist; the actors are in a black void, with only lights and dry-ice to create the setting, but it's incredibly effective. McKellen gives a great performance, and so does Dame Judi. The production as a whole has a chilling and slightly horrifying feel that will stay with you long after it's finished.
