The Rocket Post tells the remarkable true story of an idealistic German scientist, Gerhard Zucher, who came to a remote corner of Scotland during the 1930's to develop a rocket to transport mail between the inaccessible islands. When Zucher arrived he had to deal with local hostility not only to new technology, but also to Germans in general as during the First World War the Highlands and Islands had lost, per capita, the greatest number of soldiers in the British Isles.
