Justin Vernon (aka Bon Iver) moved to a remote cabin in the woods of northwestern Wisconsin at the onset of winter. He lived there alone for three months, filling his days with wood splitting and other chores around the land. He also made this remarkably beautiful record. BON IVER (French for "good winter" and spelled wrong on purpose) is a greeting, a celebration and a sentiment. The record was created entirely by Vernon with nothing more than a few microphones and some aged recording equipment. The end result being 'For Emma, Forever Ago' a nine-song album and an unassumingly beautiful masterpiece. Originally self released by Vernon himself, the 500 copies he pressed up disappeared very quickly and caught the immediate attention of fellow musicians, record labels and critics around the world.

While staying true to their bluesy roots, Loyalty To Loyalty marks a huge musical progression for the band.
The thirteenth studio album by The Cure was originally intended to be a double album, however frontman Robert Smith confirmed in recent interviews that this idea was scrapped, despite the fact that 33 songs have been recorded. Smith has said that the album will mostly comprise of the upbeat songs the band recorded, while the darker songs may be released on another album.
'Only By The Night' is a bold and expansive sonic statement that looks set to solidify Kings of Leon's position as one of the most important international acts of 2008 and beyond.
