The Dandy Warhols formed in Portland in 1994, releasing Dandy Warhols Rule Ok on the indie label Tim/Kerr Records in 1995. Their next three albums (released through Capitol), The Dandy Warhols Come Down (1997), Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia (2000) and Welcome To The Monkey House (2003) put the band on the charts, on TV and in the spotlight with international hits like “Not If You Were The Last Junkie on Earth” and “Bohemian Like You.” The band enjoyed Platinum sales and sell out tours in the UK, Australia & various European countries.
In 2003, the band was chosen by David Bowie to be the supporting act on his Reality Tour and of course, the band was featured alongside the Brian Jonestown Massacre in the infamous cult-smash indie documentary film Dig!, winner of the Grand Jury Best Documentary prize at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival.
Welcome to the Monkey House (2003) featured collaborations with Nile Rodgers, Duran Duran’s Nick Rhodes, and Evan Dando
Since parting ways with Capitol, The Dandy Warhols have partnered with World’s Fair Group to launch their own label, Beat The World Records.

GOOD IN THE FACE OF A STRANGER
Written, recorded and produced in London by Alex, where he has been based for the past two years, there is purity and an honesty in his new songs that is reminiscent of his debut release Black the Sun. The pressure from fans and indeed detractors alike is off and now there is only the music.
On first single and title track: 'Funny track, wholly written with bass and drums not unlike a lot of the Dark Satanic Mills EP. Quite distinct from the rest of the album structurally. Thematically a return to the Eden subject previously explored in the Sunset Studies track 'There Is No Such Place'. - Glenn Richards

"We've worked hard for a long time, but it’s a tough world to get by in. Anything that doesn't fit the mold scares the music industry," says lyricist and singer Dennis Lyxzén. "We know how this world works; that's just the way it is, But we also recognize the industry is on shaky ground because of that, which is why it's so cool to have someone like Rick (Rubin) believe in you."
On "Another World", Antony lists the things he treasures about the natural world, and then expresses how much he will miss them. "Another World" is hypnotic and affecting, as well as timely. The EP Another World also includes "Shake That Devil". Part exorcism and part Shangri La, Antony calls out shape-shifting perpetrators, and banishes them one by one.
In a tirelessly repetitive age of rock where nearly every bands' value system holds songwriting, tight-legged pants, and blog devotion at the same level - The Bronx remind us of how an agressive, yet catchy rock song done right is still capable of making the hair stand up on the back of our necks.
Deluxe ed with Hardcover digipak, 8 page booklet, slipcase and 2 bonus tracks! The album produced by Paul Epworth (Silent Alarm) and Jacknife Lee (A Weekend in the City) was recorded in Kent and London and mixed by Alan Moulder. Some songs are Bloc Party at their most wildly experimental, while other tracks are simply classic Bloc Party, fitting in seamlessly amongst fan-favorites "Helicopter," "Banquet" and "So Here We Are".
