Chandeliers is a lean, charismatic, mercilessly pop record full of blink-and-you'll-miss-em indie cuts produced by J. Walker (Machine Translations, The Whitlams) under the gaze of the Byron Bay Lighthouse and amongst the rolling hills of country Victoria. It survived torrential hale, gale-force winds and a mixing desk that literally was on fire to emerge as an album of disarming warmth, wit, simplicity and sincerity. It's already opening doors in the UK where the band played The Great Escape (May 08), and a handful of sideshows opening for a veritable United Nations of charttoppers including Wintersleep (Canada), The Teenagers (France) and Alphabeat (Denmark). They've also been featured in the influential College Music Journal and another round of shows is planned for Europe and the US in October.
First single, the Ben Kweller-ish 'Awkward Orchid Orchard' leads a formidable pack of airplay contenders including cross-over favourite "As If I Could", guaranteed first-listen-sing-along "Light of Love" and at least 6 others that could just as easily end up on your radio - maybe between The Shins and The Dandy Warhols.

On first single and title track: 'Funny track, wholly written with bass and drums not unlike a lot of the Dark Satanic Mills EP. Quite distinct from the rest of the album structurally. Thematically a return to the Eden subject previously explored in the Sunset Studies track 'There Is No Such Place'. - Glenn Richards
