"I've become obsessed with taking stuff out, leaving only the most important elements in place. I got more into blending and integration and subtlety. I just want to be courageous enough to feel and express as much as possible and that means ALL the emotions." - Joan Wasser
"Jason is willing to lose everything to make a good record which is a very rare thing these days. He'll push everything to the limit in the pursuit of making a good record. I guess you could say it's excessive, but often it's the case of trying to make beautiful things" - Bobby Gillespie

The old-school two-man version of Ween will re-emerge when the band will drop its At the Cat's Cradle 1992 CD and DVD set. The video captures a two-man lineup that featured Gene Ween and Dean Ween on guitar with a backing rhythm section provided from a digital tape deck.
"We've worked hard for a long time, but it’s a tough world to get by in. Anything that doesn't fit the mold scares the music industry," says lyricist and singer Dennis Lyxzén. "We know how this world works; that's just the way it is, But we also recognize the industry is on shaky ground because of that, which is why it's so cool to have someone like Rick (Rubin) believe in you."
Belle and Sebastian release a compilation of BBC recordings spanning the years 1996 - 2001 on Jeepster Recordings.
