The new world of The Drones is an exotic place, one populated by dark corners, rarely explored avenues, sparse canvases and dense, exhilarating peaks. In February, front man Gareth Liddiard began writing new songs for the album, in a mud brick cottage in deep within the splendid isolation of Mt Buffalo, in country Victoria.

Over the last 18 months SHORT STACK have received over one million plays on My Space, more than a quarter of a million plays on YouTube, created a global fan base, their own TV show, merchandise range and ring tone. Phew!
