Updating your Garmin before use.

King on 17.08.2012

I used my Nuvi 50 after I purchased next day, had been driven from Warragul to Melbourne city to Geelong and go back. It's dead while I was driving for few times. I need to pull over to reset my Nuvi 50. I am very disappoint because it was wasting me a lot of time. I connected my Nuvi 50 to my laptop after the trip. Updated all the options. I can see it's running better than first status but I will no gonna have such a long driving trip for a test lately. If you just get you Nuvi 50, my suggestion is updating your Nuvi 50 before you use it.

GARMIN Nuvi50 GPS

Chuck on 17.05.2013

Purchased this GPS and so far have been very happy with it. I did upgrade all the maps " on line" and have taken out a subion to Garmin. Very easy to use, and upgrading the maps is easy. Get an account with Garmin and plug the unit in. Last time that I checked, all my maps were " up to date". For the price, you cant go wrong. When I think of how I used to have to drive along with a Melways or UBD on my lap.

No Mini USB Cable included in box!

Farnarkler on 19.05.2013

Just bought my Nuvi 50 and went to upgrade it - but there is no mini USB cable included! There is a power adapter with a mini USB connection but Garmin have that firmly attached . Why they didn't supply a power adapter with a USB to mini USB cable is beyond me. I have now ordered a mini USB cable through ebay. Frustrating.
