  | Excellent value for money Greg on 19.02.2012 After experiencing the nauseating Navigon/Garmin 3300max and the Tom Tom. I bought this unit. Pleasantly surprised. Does everything it says it does and the software works. The big issue I had with Navigon.TomTom etc. was map upgrades and downloads. Apparently it's a revelation to these companies that you might want to have different country maps on one one unit! I mean one of the reasons I bought it is because I travel duh. Their (Navigon/Tom Tom) web sites imply this is possible until you try it. Good luck! Also my Navman maps were 6 months old (Navigon etc. 5 years old!!!). Even better. I have two years of free map updates on my Navman. My maps are now 2 days old!! Only negative. The sound quality is bit tinny and sometimes the pronunciation can be a tad weird but nothing serious. The Navman unit had me correctly plotted on a dirt road 10kms out of Alice Springs! The PC software works but is a bit fiddly. Nothing serious though. |
