Great HDTV Tuner for the price

This is a great USB HDTV tuner at under $100.... The only gripe I had with it is that its next to useless with the supplied antenna... My solution was to buy a 5 mtr shielded coax TV lead, and an adapter to allow me to plug two TV leads into the antenna at once (PC & existing TV) This results in absolutely first class reception on all digital & HD channels I can recieve in this area, which is basically 3 or 4 channels each for Seven, Nine, Ten, ABC and SBS... The record functions in the software work a treat... Apart from the minor irritation with the dodgy supplied antenna, Overall a great product !

Suprise with low price

Pretty good package for the price. Software included seems to be working good and the quality of the picture is good. All the functions for recording, taking snapshots, EPG etc. are there. Although the dongle is pretty big, it's still mobile enough and works very well with cable from the wall plug to dongle. The antenna is ridiculous, couldnt get anything through it. Very good pick for low price. Tested with Vista Basic, 2.0Ghz Compaq Celeron with 1Gt

Blaze USB HDTV Tuner

As with every HDTV tuner, both USB and card, using the supplied portable aerial, the scan chanel results are poor unless your are in a area with really strong signals. Other than that everythings a plus with Blaze. The instruction are straight forward. The software is easy to install. The player program is simple and easy to use. Finally I've found a TV tuner that works as claimed. I've fouond with all the tuners I've tried that the picture freezes or is jerky sometimes but it is always because of something running in the background. Just go into the Task Manager and knock out the unnecessary process that are using RAM/CPU and the TV will run smoothly. I spend 2 hours per working day on the train. I record movies etc at home to watch on the train with my laptop. The money I save on not buying magazines etc will mean that Blaze pays for itself in no time.

Works well of supplied aerial as long as it is 1 metre above floor. Used blutak to stick it to wall. Works even better with cable to wall plug. Great software. Good capture. Better to replay using other software as supplied software doesn't expand to full screen. Have played back to LCD panel with good results. User manual useless but not need as it is all intuitive.
