 | Decent bang for buck acejase on 21.06.2012 Entry-level laptop that does the basics very well. It uses one of AMD's new "Trinity" APU's - the A6-4400M. The spec's listed on HP's website are understated. The base clock speed for this dual-core CPU is 2.7ghz with 3.2 ghz turbo. RAM is also faster at 1600mhz , not 1333mhz as listed. I bought this laptop for casual browsing and basic photo editing while traveling. 2 x USB 3.0 ports is handy for external storage. Overall, the unit is quite responsive although the touchpad can be a bit hit-and-miss at times, usually when trying to scroll with a 2-finger gesture (I've found that using the left side works a bit better for this). Battery (47Wh 6-cell) life is very good with well over 6 hours achievable through light use. |
