![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The Avengers Brandon on 11.07.2012 The Avengers is no doubt the greatest superhero film of all time! It also once again proves that Joss Whedon is a pure genius at what he does best. Though the only bad thing about the film is the poor converted 3D effects. But it 2D it is flawless. |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Decent but not fantastic Rick on 23.08.2012 The Avengers wasn't too bad but it didn't live up to the hype. The all star cast and big budget fall flat on what was going to be one of the best super hero movies of all time. |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Best movie ever or best movie ever? Jess on 25.08.2012 I'm counting the days until I can get my hands on this movie! The Avengers is everything I was hoping for and more - absolutely living up to the best Marvel and Joss Whedon are capable of producing. It's fun, action-packed, and character driven, full of spectacular visuals and snappy dialogue. After years of being unable to pick just one movie when people ask me for my favourite, now the answer is easy! At least until Avengers 2 comes out.... |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Great movie but terrible blu ray Kell on 13.09.2012 Loved the movie but the Australian and UK version of the blu ray is missing substantial features including commentary with director joss whedon and a 90 min behind the scenes making of documentary! |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Missing extras Kell on 15.09.2012 This is a review of the blu ray, not the movie. The movie was excellent, definitely one of my favourites so far this year. However, I think fans should know that this blu ray is missing a 90 minute behind the scenes documentary, and also an audio commentary by director Joss Whedon. The UK version is also missing this. The US version has both of these (in addition to the other extras). Make of that what you will. |
Rambo: First Blood Se (Blu-ray) $15.98 (AUD) John Rambo is a misunderstood man suffering combat shock, moving from town to town until the Sheriff of the town he's just walked into makes it pretty clear he's unwanted. | $15.98 (AUD) An action comedy about a former CIA spy Bob Ho, who takes on his toughest assignment to date: looking after his girlfriend's three kids, who haven't exactly warmed to their mum's beau. | $9.98 (AUD) The final film in the collection is The Dead Pool which was originally released in 1988. The Dead Pool finds Inspector Callahan (Eastwood) investigating an unusual betting game played by a film director and his crew which has the players create a list of 10 celebrities they think will die. | $32.99 (AUD) As a conceited scholar of the Ming Dynasty, Wei Yangsheng believes in pursuing the ultimate sexual pleasure as life is short. One day, Yangsheng encounters Tie Yuxiang, the daughter of a Tao priest, and it's love at first sight. However, it doesn't take long for Yangsheng to discover that his performance is extremely "premature". Thus begins his quest to become the ultimate lover! |
