| Amazing Mathaios on 10.02.2013 Everything you have heard about this Blu-ray release and transfer is 100% true. Astonishing picture quality, it looks as though Jaws was made in the last few years rather than 1975. The audio as well sounds great. As Speilberg states himself, you can now clearly hear the "dinosaur roar" as the shark meets its fate toward the end of the film. Transfer aside, this release contains loads of excellent bonus features, including a Blu-ray exclusive documentary: The Shark Is Still Working: The Impact & Legacy Of Jaws, which contains interviews with Speilberg, Richard Dreyfuss and the late Roy Schieder. The film itself is an undisputed classic, perhaps the greatest thriller ever made and in my opinon, Speilberg's best. It still makes audiences afraid to go in the water. It's pretty clear now: the only way from now on you can watch Jaws is on the glourious-ness of Blu-ray. Trade in your DVD copy, this release is a must own. Don't let the price drag you down, it's definitely worth it. |
