![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | A fun ride! Nick on 05.10.2011 Last year a few films came out with an 'action group heist' formula. These included 'The Expendables', 'Losers', 'The A-Team' and the aforementioned title 'RED'. In my honest opionion 'RED' was by far the most fun and enjoyable. Once you piece together that RED stands for 'Retired and Extremely Dangerous' along with the cast members involved (who can't get past the sight of Helen Mirren firing a machine gun?) you realise you've got a fun movie worth viewing. With it you get the perfect blend of the team cameraderie and soundtrack that posess a similar feel to the 'Ocean's' trilogy, and action sequences which are both comical and intense like the 'Bourne' series. Watching it you get the sense that the cast are really enjoying themselves. This isn't just a film for action junkies, but also those who like a lighthearted flick that isn't too long in length. The picture and sound quality on the blu-ray is excellent. Highly recommended! |
