Set against the futuristic landscape of totalitarian Britain, V For Vendetta tells the story of a mild-mannered young woman named Evey who is rescued from a life-and-death situation by a masked man known only as "V." Incomparably charismatic and ferociously skilled in the art of combat and deception, V ignites a revolution when he urges his fellow citizens to rise up against tyranny and oppression. As Evey uncovers the truth about V's mysterious background, she also discovers the truth about herself - and emerges as his unlikely ally in the culmination of his plan to bring freedom and justice back to a society fraught with cruelty and corruption.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | No words to describe it. RD on 18.09.2011 I'll keep this somewhat short, so here goes. A few years ago when I was young and ignorant, I'd passed V for Vendetta off as being boring and pointless, but after rewatching a few months ago I realised just how horribly wrong I was! V for Vendetta is the perfect movie for a little thought-provoking experience, and it taps well with the emotions. It has a flawless plot, extremely strong messages and realistic characters. It truly opens your eyes to the world and your perspectives on everything around you, and you'll realise what people could really do to this world. This is in no way 'corny' as its messages are unique and should not be passed as weak. Everybody will have different opinions on this film but I for one have placed it atop my list of favourite films and hopefully you will too. |
