Benn on 18.12.2011 I am reviewing this from a technical perspective only, so: Sound: Stereo, but very clear, especially compared to the previous DVD release Video: Here is where the remastered comes in. 90% of the set is INCREDIBLY clear. It is beyond worth it compared to the original DVD set. I don't know how this clarity was attained but it looks fantastic, and is in 1080p. To achieve the widescreen presentation the top and bottom of the screen have been docked, but camera pans have been added where needed to show all the content of a scene. Overall, it is not really a problem. The only issue I have with this set is that the odd scene looks like a video cassette, much like the original DVD. There are very few instances of this throughout the set, so it is not a deal breaker. Basically, this lost one star from me for the occasional scene which was oddly not remastered, but this set is definitely worth it! Go get it now!! |
