In ancient Gaul, one village resisted Roman occupation thanks to a magic potion of super strength and the village's clever hero, Asterix. With his friend Obelix, who is always strong since he fell into the potion as a baby, they defy the Romans with hilarious results. After Cleopatra enters an ill advised bet with Caesar that her Egyptian builders can construct a grand palace in but three months, her distraught architect goes to the Gauls to seek the Druid Getafix for help.
