In ancient Gaul, one village resisted Roman occupation thanks to a magic potion of super strength and the village's clever hero, Asterix. With his friend Obelix, who is always strong since he fell into the potion as a baby, they defy the Romans with hilarious results. It's 50 BC, and the Romans have just invaded British shores. The Brits, however, seem more interested in their daily cuppa than in fisticuffs. But one little village, led by Chief Mykingdomforanos, still holds fort against the invaders. They call on the plucky Gauls, who come to their aid replete with a barrel of their strength-giving and intoxicating magic potion. It's up to Asterix and Obelix to show the Britons how to send the Romans packing!
Tales From Earthsea (Studio Ghibli) $28.99 (AUD) A ship is tossed on the rough sea. The captain orders a weather-working magician to calm the waves, but the man is unable to remember the true name of the sea and the gale continues to rage. Two dragons appear from the storm clouds and devour each other. For Western dragons to appear over the eastern ocean and feed on one another is an omen of something unthinkable. The balance of the world is collapsing. | $38.99 (AUD) Embark on a thrilling adventure with the most unforgettable characters including Lady, a lovingly pampered Cocker Spaniel & Tramp, a mutt from across the tracks. | $28.99 (AUD) The march of technology, embodied in the dark iron forges of the ambitious Tatara clan, threatens the natural forces explicit in the benevolent Great God of the Forest and the wide-eyed, spectral spirits he protects. When Ashitaka, a young warrior from a remote, and endangered, village clan, kills a ravenous, boar-like monster, he discovers the beast is in fact an infectious "demon god" | $18.99 (AUD) In ancient Gaul, one village resisted Roman occupation thanks to a magic potion of super strength and the village's clever hero, Asterix. MARVEL KNIGHTS SPIDER-WOMAN: AGENT OF S.W.O.R.D. (BLU-RAY) $14.99 (AUD) The Marvel Knights animated series remains true to the heritage of panel-by-panel graphic storytelling, boasting groundbreaking graphics, sensational soundscapes and, of coarse, the explosiveness of the Mighty Marvel Universe. Feeling like the most hated person on Earth after the events of Secret Invasion, Jessica Drew aka Spider-Woman is approached by a mysterious stranger to join S.W.O.R.D. (Sentient World Observation and Response Department), a counter-terrorism and intelligence agency for extraterrestrial threats. | Ben 10: Alien Force Complete Season 2 (2 Disc Set) $18.99 (AUD) Beginning with Ben, Gwen and Kevin teaming up with an old enemy to defeat an even greater foe and ending with the climatic two-part War Of The Worlds finale, Season 2 of Alien sees Ben, travel to the Null Void, encounter a dastardly array of alien bad guys and even get grounded. Ben's got a lot on his plate and, with the Highbreed fleet approaching Earth for a final showdown, he'll need all his experience to come out on top. Includes 13 episodes of Alien Force. | $23.99 (AUD) Dang, ya'll. Squidbillies season 3 is here! You better believe me, the 'billies get into more trouble than you can shake a stick at. Look out for Rusty gettin' into the steroids, fussin' with the oldest living confederate widow, Early fleecing money off his family, and the toxic effects of letting yourself get caught up in a liberal news media human interest typhoon. | Final Fantasy Vii: Advent Children (Blu-ray) $13.99 (AUD) Continuing the storyline based on the hit Playstation(r) game Final Fantasy VII, two years have passed since the ruins of Midgar stand as a testament to the sacrifices made in order to bring peace. However, the world will soon face a new menace. |
