Successful comedian, George Simmons (Sandler) takes struggling stand-up comedian Ira Wright (Rogen) under his wing after learning that he has an incurable blood disorder, and is given less than a year to live. A true friendship is unexpectedly forged when Ira is adopted as George's opening act and semi-personal assistant.
