Following in the long tradition of National Lampoon spoofs National Lampoon's The Legend of Awesomest Maximus is a satire that takes aim at "sword and sandal" epics such as Gladiator Troy Spartacus Alexander and Braveheart...and is directed by Jeff Kanew (Revenge of the Nerds). The year is 398 B.C. At long last Awesomest Maximus the much anticipated future General of Troy is born. Judging by his ripped abs and serious man-junk it's clear baby Awesomest will go on to do great things... until a bolt of lightning crashes and the Priest accidentally drops the baby off a cliff. To cover his mistake the Priest grabs a different baby out of the arms of the only witness a fat Peasant woman and "accidentally" pushes the woman off the cliff... and thus did an impostor become the future General of Troy -- and the hero of our story.
