Should a grown man give up on the woman he loves because she has a mean dog?Course not. He just should stop his sulking, be there for his girl and do his best to make good with the mutt. Yep, sounds like a swell idea - to anyone who hasnt set eyes on Wilfred - Sarahs beloved canine. The day we re-enter the lives of Australias darkest and most dysfunctional family, Adam has asked Sarah to marry him. She says yes and Adam hopes a hint of stability might come to that strange house in 22 Dalziel St, Richmond with its green carpet and backyard filled with bones from all creatures great and small. But Wilfred thinks stability is a euphemism for dull and decides that this is the ideal time to step up the mental disintegration. If he were cross-examined in a court of law, he would argue that he only dishes it out to make Adam tougher and more worthy of taking Sarahs hand in marriage. But in reality he just wants Adam to disintegrate. And hopefully before any vows are exchanged. Angry, loveable, hate-filled, sad, gorgeous Wilfred has come back with his fighting gloves on in series two of the cult SBS hit that bears his name. Adding to this poor dogs already full plate is the stress of an unexpected pregnancy of his own making, seeing his domineering Dad for the first time in years, suddenly gaining and losing 40kgs and the ongoing travails of kick-starting his music career. Then there are the gladbag of guest stars who will join he, Adam and Sarah over eight hysterical weeks, including Sarahs nudist parents, Richmonds sexiest cat and a handful of dogs who fight, fornicate and make friends with Australias most loved walking, talking four legged freak. Hang on to your souls Australia, this is a show that takes love, hate, humour and healing to unheard of places. Put the kettle on and refrain from doing the naughty boy because Wilfred is back and hes got a very itchy arse.
