Meet Aric Blue. He's young. He's handsome. He's successful. He's also a serial killer. By day he appears to be a regular office executive, but by night he trawls the streets of the city for prey, stalking his victims over time by using their daily life 'patterns' to decide the easiest way to kill them. He avoids police detection by sticking resolutely to a series of rules he has created to disassociate any possible connection between him and his victims. He is dispassionate about the individuals he stalks; he can select someone from a chance meeting in a store; or give himself a challenge to slay a neighbor and still remain undetected. He varies the method of death to keep things interesting for his chosen hobby. Aric is quite content with his life until he finds his next intended victim already dead. A note pinned to the body proclaims, "I've got YOUR pattern". Aric realizes there's another "player" in town - every bit his equal - who may be stalking him. A deadly game of cat and mouse ensues as the two killers utilize their diabolical skills in an endeavour to prove who is better at hunting humans.
