John Q Archibald is a factory worker whose job has been cut to 20 hours a week. Even with his wife working, the family is sliding further into debt. Yet despite their financial problems, the Archibalds are happy, loving and especially proud of their nine year old son, Mike. Then tragedy strikes. Mike collapses and a deadly heart condition is diagnosed. The Archibalds brace themselves for Mikes risky transplant operation, only to discover their insurance company will not pay for it. They will need $250,000 or Mike will die. When Mikes condition worsens and the hospital informs the family that without the money they will send him home, John reaches breaking point. In desperation, he takes the hospital emergency staff hostage and refuses to release anyone until his sons operation is assured. Two-time Academy Award winner, Denzel Washington (2001 Best Actor, Training Day, 1989 Best Supporting Actor, Glory), delivers another powerhouse performance in this gripping Dog Day Afternoon style thriller about a man who would sacrifice his job, his house, his money and ultimately his own life to save another his only sons.

Gilgamesh

$17.99 (AUD)

There is no gypsy and there is no cat, but there is a Gypsy & The Cat, an electronic duo who, instead of pumping out house beats and booty-quaking basslines, pen gorgeous mini epics of forlorn beauty and elegiac romanticism that, you can just tell, are about heartache and solitude, past girlfriends and future loss.

Until One

$22.99 (AUD)

A celebration of dance floor excess, ‘Until One’ features an all-star cast of guests, as well as highlights including Axwell’s 2007 smash ‘I Found U’ and brand new solo outing ‘Nothing But Love’. The album continues the trend in recent years that has seen DJs portrayed as the new rock stars - and where the 80’s gave birth to acid house, this album illustrates how a whole new generation are again pioneering electronic music to define youth culture for millions.

Post Paradise

$19.99 (AUD)

Sydney foursome The Holidays' debut album, Post Paradise, may have been a long time coming, but it has categorically been worth the wait. The first two singles, Moonlight Hours and Golden Sky, hinted at the exciting musical re-birth this band has taken over the past 18 months, yet do not exclusively define the depths of this blissful musical journey.
