LET ME IN

Such a haunting film in a beautiful way that never gets old. One of the only special remakes out there with an original feel to it. 10/10

LET ME IN

Mitchell Connell on 14.01.2011

"Let Me In" is a beautiful haunting rendition of Lindqvist's superb novel and original screenplay. Reeve's draws out the chilling horror of the novel, using the vampire metaphor to explore the pain of growing up. He employs a more Hitchcockian style that is very point of view driven and adds enough personal changes for it to stand on its own feet as a powerful companion piece to both the Swedish film and the novel. To those who are experiencing this story for the first time it is important to realize that "Let Me In" does not fall into the same boat as typical teen vampire flicks like "Twilight" and "The Vampire Diaries". Anyone expecting a vampire movie will be surprised by a great film.
