Review for 'Marie Antoinette'

Annie on 12.04.2011

This movie has had its fair share of bad reviews, but I want to give it a GOOD review on what I thought about it. Although the film has been criticized for the rock & roll music and very modern parts, this film was basically trying to explain the human side of Marie Antoinette, and that she was, after all, just a teenager girl when she married the Dauphin. The ending was very emotional. No there wasn't an execution scene, no there wasn't a prison but I was one of the most heartbreaking scenes I have ever seen. It didn't say 'THE END'. It said 'the end' emotionally and in the right way, it wasn't a death ending, but a haunting one none the less. I have given this film a 4 because although it was incredible, there were a few faults. But overall i enjoyed the film tremendously and I will definitely be watching it again!
