Based on a grave conversation Herge had in 1971, during several days, with Numa Sadoul, who was still a student at the time. During the course of the interview, Herge points out how the allusions and the underlying psychology of Tintin were intimately related to the tensions of his private life. The interviews, of which 14 hours of original audio material have been preserved, constitute the backbone of this documentary. The film is an epic biography, built around the recordings by Numa Sadoul (actor and writer). It takes an especially close look at the link between the comics created by Herge and a man's need for artistic expression. Tintin Et Moi hands the floor over to the vanished artist, who traces his own portrait.
