PREMONITION
A simple family holiday takes a turn to the bizarre when a man finds a mysterious newspaper clipping with details of his daughter's death only moments before she dies. What follows is a twisted tale of a man trying to control forces beyond his imagining. Noria Tsurata, director of RING 0: BIRTHDAY, presents a finely crafted and chilling tale of ordinary lives consumed by otherworldly forces.
RETRIBUTION
Detective Yoshioka is called to the site of an ususual homicide. A woman in a red dress has been mysteriously drowned in a pool of shallow water. As clues begin to appear, strangely, all evidence points towards detective Yoshioka- even though he claims to have never met the dead girl. An invisible force seems to be leading him down a path of no return- a path of retribution. Director Kiyoshi Kurosawa has been hailed as the new J- horror master.
REINCARNATION
From the director of THE GRUDGE comes a new form of terror. A young actress lands a role in a film based upon a series of horrifying murders comitted back in the 1970s. While working on the set, she feels as if the murders are happening around her. When she finds an old 8mm movie camera with hidden footage on it - the terror of murders past becomes a reality in the present.
INFECTION
In an under financed and under staffed Emergency room, a burns victim is accidentally given a lethal injection. Dr Uozumi convinces his medical team to forge the official paperwork to save their careers. Soon, a patient arrives with mystery illness that kills by liquefying the internal organs. When the medical team investigate, they find an otherworldy infection: an infection that is hungry for human victims.
KAIDAN
250 years ago, Soetsu is a moneylender who is struck down by a samurai unable to pay his debts. From his dying breath he issues a curse that touches all of the samurai's family. 20 years later, the son of the samurai, Shinkichi, meets a beautiful woman Toyoshiga who happens to be the daughter of the deceased moneylender. It is through this twist of fate the curse weaves its way into his life. Will he be able to escape the growing number of ghosts that haunt him; and can he survive the curse that wants to drag him to the Kasane-ga-fuchi lake where it is rumoured those that sink below its waters are to never return?
KYOFU
As children, sisters Kaori and Miyuki watched a mysterious white light appear on an old 16 mm film. 17 years later, the now death-obsessed Miyuki suddenly disappears and her sister attempts to track her down through a mysterious suicide website. Her investigations lead her to be reunited with her insane mother, Etsuko, whom is planning to repeat a forbidden brain experiment. The procedure will open up one's perception of reality, allowing one to see into the afterlife. But, it seems that the afterlife does not want to be seen.
