Anthropolgy student Nathan invites his university professor and some of his fellow hard-partying, ritalin-fueled classmates to his family's abandoned rose ranch in Southern California, to recreate an ancient ceremony on what was once a sacred burial ground. The ranch is occupied by two dangerous oddballs living in isolation. One is Nathan's brother, a bumbling loser who just wants to drink hallucinogenic Jimsonweed, abduct a nice girl, and stage a wedding-suicide.
