A surviving band of soldiers and civilians have taken refuge in a military barracks. News filters through from another military base of sanctuary elsewhere in Europe. But as the survivors attempt to make their escape they are besieged by zombies who decimate their ranks. The remaining few must embark across a death-ravaged landscape patrolled by wandering bandits and an army of living dead.
