One of the biggest movie undertakings ever attempted in Japan. A group of childhood friends must reunite to save all of humanity from an evil organisation that wants to bring about the end of the world.
CHAPTER 1: BEGINNING OF THE END
In 1969, a young boy named Kenji and his friends write The Book of Prophecy, fanciful tales that predict a series of horrifying disasters in the future which ultimately lead to Doomsday. Years later in 1997, a mysterious cult being lead by a man only known as Friend has emerged and gained strong influence over society. A series of catastrophes begin to occur, mirroring the prophecies made up by the young Kenji. The friends must band together to fight the "Friend".
CHAPTER 2: THE LAST HOPE
It is 2015 and Friend rules over a dystopian empire. Kenji's rebellious niece is marked as a problem child and is sent to Friend Land. As Kenji's friends uncover the truth about Friend they discover a New Book of Prophecy which predicts in 2015, at a church in Shinjuku, a saviour will rise to uphold justice but will be assassinated. Who is the saviour? Once again, Doomsday looms near...
CHAPTER 3: THE FINAL CHAPTER, OUR FLAG
The year is 2017, Friend is now the World President, governing the entire world. The virus-plagued Tokyo is now isolated from the rest of the world with towering walls and oppressive surveillance. Friend gives another prophecy: "At noon on August 20, mankind will be terminated by aliens. Only those who believe in me shall survive." Now the final battle begins.
