500 years in the future there's a whole new frontier, and a crew of the Firefly-class spaceship Serenity is eager to stake a claim on the action. They'll take any job, legal or illegal, to keep fuel in the tanks and food on the table. But things get a bit more complicated after they take on a passenger wanted by the new totalitarian Alliance regime. The characters of Firefly are the focus of this action packed story. You won't be able to help falling in love with them as you ponder what life could be like 500 years into the future. Unlike other sci-fi space series that can become monotonous and filled with plot holes, Firefly finds a strong basis in human reality as a self contained season, followed by the action packed movie "Serenity" to top the series off.
