![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Christmas Creeps & Chuckles Zanna Clair on 31.10.2011 It's been almost a year since I saw this film at the cimema and I've been waiting with bated breath for it's release on disc. This comedy horror is an excellent addition to it's genre and I left the theatre with a sore face from smiling for the last 30 minutes of the movie. This is the first Finnish film I've ever seen and I was pleasantly delighted with the excellent quality in acting, effects and story. The feature length film was based on a short film that can be seen on youtube. Based in the original homeland of Santa Claus, Lapland, a local child - Pietari - notices some strange occurances surrounding the mysterious excavation site in the mountains nearby. Is the real Santa the jolly chuckling elf as seen in Hallmark cards, or is he a creature to scare children into good behaviour? There is some violence and gore, but nothing too over the top, older children may be able to brave this one. There is tongue in cheek references to every pop culture, annoying christmas |
