Welcome to the first year of the adventures of USS Voager, standed 70,000 light years from home in unknown and hostile space. The year is 2371. Propelled into the Delta Quandrant by a powerful force that has killed half her crew, Captain Kathryn Janeway is forced to make a pact with outlaws: the crew of a ship of renegade Federation officers known as the Maquis. While tensions between the Maquis and Starfleet officers results in the occasional violent outburst, the crew face bigger and deadlier dangers in the form of spatial anomalies which threaten to destroy the ship on more than one occasion. Threats are also present from aggressive local races, including the war-like Kazon and the chillingly sinister organ-harvesters, the Vidiian Sodality.
