OVER THERE is the first-ever scripted television series set in a current ongoing war involving the United States.
It centers on the members of a U.S Army unit sent to Iraq on their first tour of duty, and explores the effects of war on those soldiers on the front, as well as their families at home. The series is not about the politics of war, but rather examines the physical, emotional and cultural challenges the soldiers face.
OVER THERE is an ensemble drama that was created by Steven Bochco and Chris Gerolmo, and is in the same vein as 'Deadwood' and 'Band Of Brothers'.
