As with many Call of Duty games, the single player missions are focussed primarily on training you up for multiplayer, with Black Ops featuring missions in Cuba, a Russian prison, and the jungles and trenches of Vietnam. Multiplayer is where the game really becomes interesting however, with a number of game modes, maps, and equipment. With the familiar rank system in place, Multiplayer can be a fun and challenging battle for survival, as your choice of weapons is limited by how quickly you gain ranks. Every kill or flag capture in a match grants the player experience towards the next rank, as well as credits which can be spent on new weapons, new equipment, or even face paint for added camouflage. Nothing compares to the fast-paced, frenetic action that is Call of Duty Multiplayer. Buyers should be prepared for large Steam-based downloads (8+ gigs currently), but the online play is certainly worth the wait. |
