The amp is small yet great, the guitar is very well constructed and sounds great. All the extra's it comes with are really good and help if you are a newbie. You get way more than what you pay for. Best deal!

Great value, guitar is decent

This pack is a steal and perfectly suited to the beginner/casual/poor guitarist. I was expecting the guitar to be a real disaster given the price, despite my faith in the Yamaha brand. I was pleased to discover that it was well calibrated from the factory, holds its tuning and has a pleasant tone not usually found in this price point. The amp has enough grunt to easily drown a small room with sound and conveniently features a headphone port. It has 2 channels and the standard issue EQ knobs. The clean channel has a nice, warm tone whilst the overdrive channel packs a punch. I had no trouble dialling in some nice, grungy distortion. The accessories don't need much of a mention, but I will say that I was grateful to find 3 picks in the mix, a spare set of strings and the tuner works rather well. Only thing missing is a stand for the guitar. In conclusion, the guitar in this pack doesn't have the tone or finish of a high end Fender, however it is still a solid and well built.
