5" Active Speakers
Great, but not awesome

This device was my first CDJ kit. I use it to DJ on Fillydelphia Radio online radio, and it served me well. However, 1 month into use, and the Playback button on the left side failed. JB-HiFi were excellent, providing me with a quick replacement. Another niggle I found were the playback speed controls on the device. Occasionally, the slider on VirtualDJ would spasm, and throw out a mix, causing me to quickly spam the "sync" button in a panic. The best workaround is to load the song, slide the speed controls all the way up, then all the way down, before returning to the speed you want. This will stop it from randomly ruining your mix. The speakers need adjusting out-of-box, and when connecting the kit, be sure to disable the "Loudness" enhancement in the Sound Properties to remove the distortion from the headset and speakers. Also, chuck the headset. It's uncomfortable, sounds murky and is really cheap.

It is a good looking and feeling controller and isn't incredibly small so generally it feels solid, but its performance lacks dramatically. The controller occasionally during your mix may stuff up the tempo on a particular track ruining the mix. So more or less it almost completely requires you to have the tracks synced. However the speakers are nicely powerful and produce a pretty good sound. But don't depend on the Headphones, they are quite poor. Keep in mind its Virtual DJ only, no Traktor or Serato support
