Michael McDonald - former Doobie Brother and superstar singer/songwriter - releases a new album of classic soul-tinged 'cover' songs - titled 'Soul Speak' to co-incide with his Feb tour of Australia. The album will include three new songs by the 5x Grammy winner and touring member of Steely Dan. Produced by frequent Eric Clapton collaborator Simon Climie, this 14 track new collection burnishes McDonald's flawless vocal delivery over an array of soul-inspired songs - featuring some of his favourite songs. The lead off track is Jackie Wilsons' 'Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher' - which is already a huge hit at radio in the US. 'Love TKO' by Teddy Pendergrass; 'Walk On By' by Dionne Warwick; 'Into The Mystic' by Van Morrison, 'Living For The City' by Stevie Wonder, 'Redemption Song' by Bob Marley and more. McDonald's three new tracks on the album are 'Only God Can Help Me Now', 'Enemy Within' and 'Can't Get Over You (Getting Over Me)'.
