5 Songs EP is the original recording from 2009 by husband and wife duo Vicky Gaye Philipp and Jeff Raglus. Recorded in the autumn of 2009, 5 Songs has a distinctive soft core prog sound, mixed with subtle psychedelic folk overtones. Sometimes whimsical, sometimes romantic, and sometimes rockin', Victoriana Gaye is a quirky combination of pop, folk with a bit grunge. Playing a mix of acoustic and electric guitars, trumpet, ukelele, harmonica and sweet harmonies, they are joined by cult Melbourne musicians, Ross McLennan on bass, Bruce Haymes on harpsichord plus special guest Noel Crombie on drums (from the legendary NZ band Split Enz). Described as Francoise Hardy marries Herb Albert, Patti Smith joins the Seekers or B52's go folk!!!
