A timely reissue for this 1996 album, since famed singer / songwriter tragically died just late last year. Revered (and covered) by an eclectic range of artists, including REM, Soul Asylum, Madonna and Sparklehorse, Chesnutt was one of the greatest songwriters of his age, and About To Choke remains a definite masterpiece in his large and broad catalogue.
