Basically a pick n mix of a stack of (originally) very rare vinyl or unreleased live to air stuff, this - while being by it's very nature pretty hit or miss - is a great addition to any newcomer to Bill Callahan's songs. Not only is there a few examples of the early 'awkward' stuff (hey, I'm being polite - a lot of it, in hindsight is unlistenable), but it also has the mid (golden) period when the misery was real. Trainspotters note the cover is similar to that for the "Doctor Came At Dawn" album - only with broken glass to (maybe?) let you know that it's all now damaged goods?
