Melbourne's Cordrazine release their second album, Always Coming Down, only (!) thirteen years after their Top Ten debut album From Here To Wherever. Cordrazine features the exquisite voice and affecting songwriting of Hamish Cowan. The band's calling card is the still astonishing ballad 'Crazy' - reputedly played at just as many funerals as weddings. 'Crazy' landed in the Top 20 of Triple J's Hottest 100 of 1997. But by then it was too late. Breaking up before they could even fully break through, Cordrazine undeniably had so much more to offer. In 2010 they return with the sublime album, Always Coming Down. A suite of tender, expressive love songs that continues the band's trademark beautiful, classic pop songs with flourishes of gorgeous Fender Rhodes, subtle jazzy hues and powerfully uplifting moods, the first single 'Sunshine' has already been widely acclaimed ahead of a buzz around the full album. Hamish says, "I think of my songs as comfort music," Hamish Cowan says. "That's the way I think of a band like The Smiths and how they affected my life. Knowing I could put on their music and it would be like an embrace. That's how I hope people feel when they listen to Cordrazine. I think of my songs as an unconditional friend."
