THE FIX were one of the earliest hardcore bands in the Midwest and one of the first to release something on TOUCH AND GO RECORDS. The Fix had the attitude of "just plug in, play hard, and go nuts" playing shows with the likes of the DEAD KENNEDYS, BLACK FLAG, JFA, and 7 SECONDS. And in 2006 their first single sold for $1700.00 on eBay. The Fix broke up on New Years Day 1982 in San Francisco after a final unscheduled showwith the EFFIGIES, Dead Kennedys, FLIPPER, and ANTI-PASTI. STEVE MILLER & MIKE ACHTENBERG went on to form BLIGHT with TESCO VEE of the MEATMEN.
