London based Tony Thewlis is best known for his scything guitarwork in the The Scientists and the Interstellar Villains. The Scoundrelles is his latest project. Recorded both in Memphis and at the legendary Toe-Rag studios (White Stripes, Billy Childish/Buff Medways). With sounds ranging from English freakbeat, to twangy country rock and trippy psych-rockers, plus covers from Suicide and Troggs - this album is an understated garage pleaser.
