Babylon Rules is the third album from Philadelphia's Clockcleaner. It's a seething mess of hard downer-rock and morbid goth punk, with a sneering edge to it to justify their reputation as a hostile, vicious live band. Although they endure constant references to the dirgey 80's American post-punk landscape - Big Black and most predominantly Flipper, Clockcleaner have also drawn comparison to the damaged history of Australian noise-rock groups from Feedtime and Lubricated Goat to the Birthday Party and the Scientists.
