Debut album for Sydney five-piece following a pair of EPs, To Anything and Cartoon Islands. Conceived in the band's rehearsal space at Sydney's Hibernian House. Recorded and co-produced with Tim Whitten at BJB Studios in Sydney. Bill, Dance, Shiner's songs were taken from skeletons and were fleshed out, with a conscious effort to develop and arrange an album of warm pop songs that fit together without running together. Unlike previous outings, Out Of Touch In The Wild was written and conceived as a full ‘studio’ album, allowing for greater creative freedom, more sophisticated arrangements and a much larger sonic palette, allowing utilization of strings, piano, analogue synths and tuned percussion more so than guitars. The band’s underlying influences - The Smiths, King Crimson, Talking Heads, Steve Reich, XTC – remain, but intriguing new influences with the likes of Kate Bush, Igor Stravinsky, Japan, Prince and Ne
