The last Dinosaur Jr album to feature Lou Barlow before the reformation in 2005, and the subsequent original lineup album 'Beyond'. What happened next? Lou sooked out, and unsurprisingly wrote some of his best material under the Sebadoh banner. J started playing the bulk of, well, pretty much anything on the following albums (much to their detriment). 'Green Mind' (the following album) probably holds the band's most catchiest material, however 'Bug' acts as the perfect mix of the noisy, yet slightly unfocused 'You're Living All Over Me', and the aforementioned 'Green Mind'. Although 'Bug' has been described as J Mascis' least favourite album, do not be fooled. This is Dinosaur Jr at their ultimate peak. You need to own this, oh yes you do!
