Black Ryder, The - Buy The Ticket, Take The Ride Existing for but a brief moment in the universe, The Black Ryder emerge from its depths as a fully
formed and mysterious creature. Awash in the burnt out feel of a slow come down, The Black Ryder now surrender to you their debut album Buy The Ticket, Take The Ride. Having taken many unprepared and surprised on their debut tour with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club last
year, shortly followed by tours with The Raveonettes, The Brian Jonestown Massacre & The Charlatans (all of which were by personal invitation), The Black Ryder quickly garnished themselves a glowing reputation as one of the most intriguing and confident bands of the Sydney scene.

Existing for but a brief moment in the universe, The Black Ryder emerge from its depths as a fully formed and mysterious creature. Awash in the burnt out feel of a slow come down, The Black Ryder now surrender to you their debut album Buy The Ticket, Take The Ride. Having taken many unprepared and surprised on their debut tour with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club last year, shortly followed by tours with The Raveonettes, The Brian Jonestown Massacre & The Charlatans (all of which were by personal invitation), The Black Ryder quickly garnished themselves a glowing reputation as one of the most intriguing and confident bands of the Sydney scene. The dark offspring of singers/songwriters' Aim e Nash and Scott Von Ryper, The Black Ryder's music strikes you as beautiful, yet somehow sinister in its beauty. It's a slow decent into the depths of The Black Ryder, it may at times feel uneasy as the feeling kicks in,but in a wink you will find yourself calm and at peace, even in their more eruptive moments. This is mainly due to the intoxicating vocals of the band's two leaders; voices that seem to dance in and out of one another like old and strange friends. It's a double-edged and inviting sword that beckons the listener, the lure of the voice sucks you in close, before your ears and heart are blown into the nebula by a sonic gash.
