Champ is the much-anticipated new album from Tokyo Police Club, due out on June 8th on mom+pop. The Newmarket Ontario quartet was hailed by Rolling Stone as poised to become the biggest Canadian export since Molson and Champ delivers on that promise. Produced by Rob Schnapf (Elliott Smith, Beck, the Vines) and led by the infectious new single, Wait Up (Boots of Danger) , Champ is a huge musical step forward for the band.Champ follows up the band s 2008 debut album, Elephant Shell, which was celebrated by the likes of GQ, Elle, Spin, Rolling Stone and more- not to mention appearances on The Late Show With David Letterman, The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson and Desperate Housewives. Champ s release will be followed by an exhaustive world tour, with the band already confirmed to tour with Passion Pit, appear at this year s Coachella and Bonnaroo festivals, before headlining their own dates
